I would suggest Tamiyas rally block tires http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?I=LXGG35&P=8
These will help to increase your ground clearance and give you more grip off road. I think the translation is saying your gearing is to short, not much you can do with the TT-01 as the gearing options are defined by the motor mount positions.
You may also want to tune your suspension to suit off-road driving.
